Advocacy

Research has shown that sex workers face a number of health inequities, including increased exposure to negative occupational health conditions, driven by sex work criminalization and intersecting stigmas. This evidence has demonstrated that widespread occupational stigma and punitive legal and policy frameworks are key drivers of sex workers’ health concerns, such as HIV and STBBIs, as well as their barriers to accessing care.

As part of our advocacy efforts, we provide various advocacy papers from our member organizations on policies that affect sex workers. We also support the work of other community organizations that promote the health and safety of sex workers.
